Diploma in Salon Management

FOR WHOM INTENDED

The Diploma in Salon Management is meant for Beauty Therapy Supervisors, Spa Managers and Salon owners, Supervisors and owners of Beauty Salons and Hairdressing Salons,  as well as Beauty  Therapists and   Hairdressers aspiring to  become leaders in their own salon.

COURSE OBJECTIVES—LEARNING OUTCOMES & SKILLS

The aim of the Diploma in Salon Management is to equip Candidates with the necessary knowledge and skills to enable them to manage a Spa or Beauty Salon and Hair Salon environment effectively.  It is equivalent to Level 5 of the MQF (Malta Qualifications Framework).  The Diploma has been developed by CIBTAC. (Confederation of International Beauty Therapy and Cosmetology),  which is recognised internationally, for both Beauty & Hairdressing salon management.

ABOUT THE COURSE

The course will cover the following subjects:

  • Management of health, safety and security in the Salon
  • Salon Management
  • Sales Management in the Hair and Beauty sectors
  • Public Relations in the Hair and Beauty sectors
  • Marketing in the Hair and Beauty sectors

 

The course is made up of a number of guided learning house per module, totaling 215 hours in all, which includes class tuition, reading and assignments. At the end of the course, the foreign CIBTAC examiner will review the assignments and other course work carried out.

COURSE VENUE AND COURSE SESSIONS

Tuition will be carried out on Monday mornings at the school of the International Institute of Beauty Therapy in Santa Venera from 0900 to 1300 hours for twenty-four weeks, commencing on Monday the 28th April 2014 right through  the month of October (excluding the month of August 2014).

TUTORS

The tutors engaged on this programme are qualified and experienced  in their own area.

COST OF COURSE

The cost of the course is Euro 950. A deposit of Euro 200 is required on registration to secure a place, since the number of students is limited, to provide personal attention.
